چکیده

Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most important neurogenerative disorder with progressive dementia as its main clinical manifestation. The microRNAs (miRNAs) are identified crucial modulators in AD progression. Nevertheless, biological potential of miR-21 obscure. Hence, this study aimed to evaluate possible role pathogenesis via phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT)/glycogen synthase kinase-3beta (GSK-3β) signaling. Materials and Methods: expression brain tissues patients AD, well normal Aβ1-42-stimulated SH-SY5Y cell line (AD model) was examined by situ hybridization quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Also, apoptosis-linked protein levels programmed death 4 (PDCD4) were detected western blot. Results: Our findings revealed that low expressed model (P<0.01). overexpression could inhibit apoptosis Indeed, negatively regulated PDCD4 expression, which led activated PI3K/AKT/GSK-3β Conclusion: demonstrated cloud inhibits through activation signaling pathway using inhibition expression.

miR-146a promotes growth of osteosarcoma cells by targeting ZNRF3/GSK-3β/β-catenin signaling pathway

MicroRNA-146a-5p (miR-146a) functions as a tumor suppressor or oncogene involved in multiple biological processes. But, the underlying molecular mechanisms by which miR-146a contributes to osteosarcoma (OS) remain unclear. The correlation of miR-146a expression with clinicopathologic characteristics and prognosis of OS patients was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analysis. Cell grow...

Gsk-3β

Despite continuous advances in the knowledge of breast cancer pathophysiology, this type of neoplasia remains a leading cause of cancer-related death in women, with more than 450 000 deaths every year worldwide. 1 surgery, coupled with radiation and/or che-motherapy, remains the main approach for breast cancer treatment. However, another common therapeutic option is based on the use of the estr...

Role of TLR4-Mediated PI3K/AKT/GSK-3β Signaling Pathway in Apoptosis of Rat Hepatocytes

We investigated the mechanism of the Toll-like receptor 4- (TLR4-) mediated PI3K/AKT/GSK-3β signaling pathway in rat hepatocytes apoptosis induced by LPS. The cultured rat hepatocytes were treated with LPS alone or first pretreated with TLR4 inhibitor, AKT inhibitor, and GSK-3β inhibitor, respectively, and then stimulated with the same dose of LPS. Cell viability, cell apoptotic rate, and apopt...

Role of connexin-43 in protective PI3K-Akt-GSK-3β signaling in cardiomyocytes.

Sarcolemmal connexin-43 (Cx43) and mitochondrial Cx43 play distinct roles: formation of gap junctions and production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) for redox signaling. In this study, we examined the hypothesis that Cx43 contributes to activation of a major cytoprotective signal pathway, phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)-Akt-glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β) signaling, in cardiomyocytes. A ...

The Role of miRNA Dysregulation in Thyroid Cancer Development by Targeting the Main Signaling Pathways

Thyroid cancer is one of the most common malignancies of endocrine glands, causing carcinomas, such as papillary, follicular, medullary, and anaplastic thyroid carcinomas. Due to the significance of thyroid carcinomas, identification of the main signaling pathways and  the affecting mutations has been considered by researchers. Further studies on the dysregulation of oncogenes in signaling path...
